– We would like to remind residents of the following:
-Please clear sidewalks within 36 hours of a snowfall event, (Codified Ord. 351.14)
-To avoid frozen lines, disconnect outdoor water hoses.
-During heavier snow events, please remove parked cars from street parking to allow snowplows to clear the village streets. (Codified Ord. 351.14)
**This will make it easier for the plows, emergency vehicles and regular vehicles to safely pass narrower neighborhood streets. It will also prevent your vehicle from being buried by the snow. Although the village takes pride in clearing our village streets, once a street is cleared, plows may be unable to come back to clear the area where a parked car once was.
